Salad and Go Charities focuses on supporting the community in three key areas:
No, Salad and Go Charities is an independent 501(c)(3) public charity managed by a voluntary board of directors. It operates separately from the Salad and Go business.
Salad and Go Charities receives in-kind donations of food and supplies, as well as monetary donations from individuals and companies. We also help organize fundraising initiatives like the Guest Give program which raises needed funds in the Salad and Go drive thrus and through online ordering.
Qualified 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations in Texas, Arizona, Oklahoma, and Nevada can apply for Nourishing Communities Grants from Salad and Go Charities. Nourishing Communities Grants provide funding to support or grow programs dedicated to relieving hunger and food insecurity in local communities.
Nourishing Communities Grants focus on supporting programs that directly address hunger in communities facing food insecurity, such as meal programs, food banks, urban gardens, and meal delivery services.
Information about the Nourishing Communities Grants application process can be found in the “Grants” section of the Salad and Go Charities website.
Salad and Go Charities is always looking for dedicated volunteers to support their programs. Interested volunteers can email hello@saladandgocharities.org to learn more and sign a waiver. Some community partner programs may also require background checks. The average volunteer commitment is 2-3 hours per event, and orientations may be required for certain roles.
All donations to Salad and Go Charities go toward our mission of providing access to nutritious food for communities in need.
